The Formula Firehawk LS1 is more rare.

Re: Zaino Question

Real or not, I would never use a sponge on my car. Why is that, Scott? I currently don't use a sponge, however I have in the past with good results. Sponges are cheap, absorbant, and readily available. Readily available? I wish. Takes me a while to sift through all the fakes to find a real sponge a...

Re: Zaino Question

SO after you zaino, how do you go about washing your car normal? what soap would you use if any? Wouldn't washing your car with dawn strip the zaino off or any other car wash liquid with a "wax clear coat" would effect the finish of the zaino? Only use dawn or alcohol to remove the Zaino. Use the Z...

Re: Need Recommendations For Aftermarket Car Cover

Being in a carport, the condesation, dust accumulation issues are not so big. Your concern should be the wind. If your underside of the cover is course in any way, it will rub and sway back and forth in the wind, and any dust/dirt that is blown under your cover will scratch your paint. So be most ca...

yep, working on getting more pics up. Catching up from a busy May. Well, looks like I neglected to follow up with this. This was my suggestion.
Starting fluid just diesels - detonates upon compression, so it is bypassing both the fuel and ignition/timing issues.

Re: Hello!

Welcome to the board reset! Glad to hear your dumping the Subaru, my friend has an 2007 STI, and let me drive it, I'm not impressed, the motor is weak, he's already gone through like 3 motors in 40K miles. The shifters are crap too, there are too many bushings, and linkages, as where a Firehawk shi...

Re: Could this Hawk be for real?

I don't believe that's true when swapping from the SLP 'Optional Spoiler', often referred to as the 'IROC' design spoiler, to the stock Trans Am 'up-level' spoiler. I believe they can be swapped from hatch to hatch. The whole hatch must be swapped when going from the standard Firebird or Formula ty...

Re: Zaino Question

Get some touch-up paint and fill in the places missing paint. Apply with toothpick for the rock chips. As long as gray or white isn't showing through, people don't ssem to notice as long as the rest is shiny. Touch up before the zaino.

Re: Zaino Question

I've only used the Zaino claybar, and recommend it. I once made a long post about Zaino application on http://www.mifbody.com and another guy there, joelZ or similar has made a bunch. Most car forums have threads about Zaino apps, search can work well. The Hawk is the first use I ever had of Zaino, ...

Re: Zaino Question

But don't skimp on the claybarring action beforehand!!! And make sure to keep pumping the carwash solution as you claybar - if you see dry paint on the backside of the clay swipe, or hear any litttle screech or squeak, you aren't using enough solution - need to keep the entire surface soaked where t...
