rally repairs

Post by Chuck Stong » Sat Aug 16, 2003 10:36 pm

As many know, I have a history of breaking things at the rally. This year the car developed a bad miss. First thing I check now adays are the few remaining original parts. I suspected the ICM (original), so I swapped it out, and now the car runs much better. I still have a bit of testing to be sure, but at least I can rev over 5k. Still can't wait for next year.

Chuck, I know from experience that is no fun having car trouble at the Rally when you are a long ways from home. Hope things work out and glad you could make it again, nice seeing you there, Bob D

The impressive thing is that even with the previous repairs you still come back. Helps inspire me to make the trip.

Even with all the driving I have done (I have been almost all over the country with the car) the only time I ever have problems on a roadtrip is at the rally. Even so, I have too much fun to miss it.
