Finally supercharged the Firehawk
After a couple of years debating whether to do this or not....... It's done.
Before the Supercharger: 331hp, 346 tq at the rear wheels
After the Supercharger: 436hp, 436 tq at the rear wheels running a 6psi pulley
I ordered an 8psi pulley which should bring power up to 475hp at the wheels.
All work was performed at Callaway Cars in Old Lyme CT.

Sweet, ...,
How much, or did they have to cut into the cowl area?

Re: Finally supercharged the Firehawk
They had to cut the inner part of the hood. They really did a great job on the install. Lots of work engineering the fit though. We also did a Ron Davis radiator with the oil cooler, and a set of Callaway World Challenge headers, and high flow cats. What a difference in acceleration, and the whine from the supercharger is incredible. Don't think I've used the radio since the install.

Re: Finally supercharged the Firehawk
So all they had to cut was the hood? Is it a magnacharger, or what make/model is it?
Looks very nice, post a video of the whine!

I noticed the hood cuts, & can see the seal on the cowl is kind of pushed up, but I was curious if they had to cut the cowl.
Hell yea, I cut the hood if I had to for that install, ...,

Re: Finally supercharged the Firehawk
As far as cutting goes, just the inside of the hood and the cowl.zmaro wrote:So all they had to cut was the hood? Is it a magnacharger, or what make/model is it?

Yes, it is a magnacharger 112

Re: Finally supercharged the Firehawk
Now, it did alot of work to fit the 315 Hoosier R6's in the rear. Nothing a torch and 5lb. hammer couldn't fix though.
